Honey I Shrunk the Volunteers

Due to the chemicals in a surprise fumigation, Don Josh and Miss Colleen have been tragically shrunken down to popsicle-stick size. But since they are true BECA volunteers, their new 3-foot stature has not affected their commitment to the community they serve. What follows are a few inspirational photos documenting the adventures of Don Joshito and Miss Colleensita:
When they were first shrunk, they didn’t have appropriately-sized attire. So, of course, they went to the woman with all the answers: Ms. Denalia. Imagine her surprise when they popped through her door.
With the holiday season fast approaching, Ms. Denalia ran to the bodega and fashioned a Santa costume and a Christmas tree/Hanukah conifer. They may have been little, but they made everyone’s hearts grow three times larger as they spread their holiday joy throughout the school. Below is just one of the many students inspired by their work.
