Last weekend SJBS celebrated día típico, an event honoring the history and culture of Honduras. Each grade was assigned a different city in Honduras and the parents were in charge of  making a champa (a hut made out of natural material) and serving the typical food of that region. Many of the students wore authentic clothes and one student from each grade gave a short presentation describing the culture and history of their region.
